متن کاملThe angle-resolved photoemission spectra of uranium based ferromagnets
We investigate the spin-split and magnetization dependence of the 5f angle resolved photoemission spectra. For large values of the spontaneous magnetization, the model supports magnetic polaron excitations. We compare the results of our calculations with recent experimental results of Durakiewicz, Joyce and co-workers on related 5f compounds.
متن کاملModeling Highly Resolved Spectroscopies of Complex Materials
We stand at the threshold of a new ’golden age’ of spectroscopic studies of materials for unraveling how charge, spin, orbital and lattice degrees of freedom interact to produce emergent phenomena and exotic states of matter. In this connection, the need for proper modeling of various highly resolved spectroscopies is becoming of critical importance in providing discriminating tests of competin...
متن کاملBipolaronic Proximity and Other Unconventional Effects in Cuprate Superconductors
There is compelling evidence for a strong electron-phonon interaction (EPI) in cuprate superconductors from the isotope effects on the supercarrier mass, high resolution angle resolved photoemission spectroscopies (ARPES), a number of optical and neutron-scattering measurements in accordance with our prediction of high-temperature superconductivity in polaronic liquids. A number of observations...
متن کاملSuperlight small bipolarons
Recent angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) has identified that a finite-range Fröhlich electron-phonon interaction (EPI) with c-axis polarized optical phonons is important in cuprate superconductors, in agreement with an earlier proposal by Alexandrov and Kornilovitch. The estimated unscreened EPI is so strong that it could easily transform doped holes into mobile lattice bipolaro...
